Lectures - traditional lectures with limited group interaction and demonstrations
Lab - small group collaborative study and independent learning experiences with instructor as facilitator2. Self-paced, independent learning with instructor as facilitator? - See "Lab" above.
3. Type of assessment - Lecture exams, both objective and essay questions. Lab exams and quizzes, both objective and fill-in-the-blank.
5. Grading policy - Straight %, no curving or use of class averages, no dropping of low grades.
7. Is the final exam/assessment comprehensive? - The final lecture exam is partially comprehensive in nature and is valued at double the points of a normal lectur exam.
8. Weight of final exam/assessment in relation to final course grade - See No. 7.
12. Available outside help: The Dearborn Heights Campus has a Learning Resource Center that is open during the day for student use. The Learning Lab located at the main campus provides similar opportunities for use of models.
